The Ideal Candidate for this Position would have previous experience in a service industry (preferably hospitality), and a passion for delivering a service that surpasses the guests’ expectations. Must enjoy cleaning and have an eye for detail. Must be outgoing, full of enthusiasm and enjoy customer interaction.

Position Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for insuring that standards of cleanliness in assigned areas are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis in order to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service, within the established time limitations. Specifically, this position is responsible for cleaning and preparing the property's guest rooms for occupancy, as well as maintaining the public areas such as front desk, fitness center, meeting spaces, public restrooms, offices, stairwells and the hallways of the hotel.  Housekeeper will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Bridgeport Conference Center meeting rooms, public areas such as lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and offices.

Requirements:  Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities, skills and requirements include, but are not limited to:

  1. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  2. Observe precautions required to protect hotel, conference center, and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors, including logging floor keys in and out on a daily basis at the beginning and end of each shift.
  3. Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets, and complete the Room Attendant Daily Report, correctly identifying the status of each assigned room, and reporting any maintenance problems or product shortages.
  4. Create an environment that promotes quality and teamwork while supporting the mission and interests of the Microtel Inn and Suites of Bridgeport and Charles Pointe Hospitality.
  5. Make sound judgment calls and decisions based on the principles of the Microtel Inn and Suites of Bridgeport and Charles Pointe Hospitality.
  6. All other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or the General Manager.  As the scope of our business changes, so may the responsibilities of this position.
