We are seeking individuals who are experienced in the set-up of a bar and the responsible service of alcohol.  Must be experienced in variety of drink preparations and possess excellent guest relation skills. Ideal for individuals looking to pick up extra money in the evenings and weekends. Part-Time and Flexible schedules vary and mostly consist nights and weekends.  Bartenders are responsible for providing consistent quality beverage service throughout an event.  A Bartender should be available to their guests at all times.  They are to provide service according to the event needs, and should also be knowledgeable of the master beverage list and their presentations.  Bartenders need to be able to accommodate a large number of guests needing attention at specific times during an event and provide excellent service quickly.  Also, Bartenders should be able to anticipate the needs of their guests to ensure the highest level of experience possible.  

***This position will also be responsible for working as a Server, when bartending isn't needed.***
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Minimum 1 year of service experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proven ability to work independently, while maintaining positive relationships with team members
  • Strong judgment and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective communicator with both written and verbal communication
  • Alcohol Service certifications preferred
  • Our company dress code bans visible tattoos or facial piercings

Requirements:
  • Reliable attendance
  • Punctual for all scheduled shifts 
  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit

Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistent bartending service to guests in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and the Service Manual.
  • Responsible for bar set-up and presentation throughout facility or off-site event according to the BEO.
  • Clean and put away all items related to the bar at the end of the event.
  • Properly serve guests based on all local and state laws concerning the service of alcohol.
  • Ability to maintain professional uniform and grooming standards.
  • Inform the Catering Manager or Banquet Captain of any inventory that may need to be purchased.​
  • Follow details on the BEO regarding setup, service and breakdown.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of master beverage list and ensure proper presentation of each beverage that is served.​
  • Responsible collection of all sales and monies that are due.
  • Greet any guest to which you come in contact with.
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu that has been provided for the event.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and guests in order to ensure all needs are fulfilled.
  • Provide accurate beginning and ending counts of all beer, wine and liquor that was stocked and served.
  • Understand completely all functions and use of the Micros during events with bar service and the financial reporting that is due at cash out.
  • Attend any meetings that are required.
  • Promptly report any employee or guest situations that may have an adverse effect on the integrity of the operation to the Banquet Manager.
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming guidelines according to the employee handbook.
  • Make sound judgment calls and decisions based on the principles of the Bridgeport Conference Center and Charles Pointe Hospitality.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management.
  • As the scope of our business changes, so may the responsibilities of this position.
  • Adhere to all prescribed safety practices and procedures, including sanitation standards.
