We are seeking an Executive Chef for Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria in Bridgeport, WV. This unique trattoria style restaurant and wine bar features coal fired artisanal pizza, Italian comfort food made from scratch, a full-service bar with a wide selection of craft beers and wines by the glass as well as a retail market with Italian food products, bottled wine and craft beer for sale.
Mia Margherita also has a very vibrant catering, takeout, and delivery business. The restaurant features 125 seats for dining, including a private dining room that seats 40 and a covered outdoor patio that seats 40. Recently named “Best Pizza in West Virginia” by USA Today and Trip Advisor as well as “Best Pizza in West Virginia” by farandwide.com. Mia Margherita is consistently ranked the #1 restaurant in Bridgeport on Trip Advisor and Yelp!
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic leader to manage day to day culinary operations of this thriving pizzeria trattoria & market. We take pride that 90% of our products are made from scratch and we utilize some of the finest ingredients available. Previous culinary management experience in a fast paced upscale restaurant is a must.

Position Summary: The Executive Chef at Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria is responsible for delivering a high quality food experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an environment among the culinary team that fosters teamwork, high standards, accountability, efficiency, and sustainability while staying within budgetary guidelines.
This position will drive all aspects of the culinary operation, procurement, and safety guidelines as it pertains to the production and service of food. Mentoring and developing team members is an important role for this job and is vital to the success of our restaurant operation.
Requirements: Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

- Passion as a culinarian leader.
- Proficient in kitchen operations in an upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant.

- Stable job history which demonstrates upward career progression
